FAQ

Questions Before Your Visit?

How often should I have a dental checkup and cleaning?

Many patients benefit from visits about every six months, but the right interval depends on your teeth, gums, medical history and risk of cavities or gum disease. We will recommend a schedule after an exam.

What should I do if I have a toothache, swelling or a broken tooth?

Call during office hours so we can assess the problem and look for a same-day urgent visit when capacity allows. Facial swelling that affects breathing or swallowing, uncontrolled bleeding or major trauma requires 911 or the nearest emergency department.

What happens at a first appointment?

We review your health and dental history, listen to your concerns, examine your teeth and gums, and take X-rays when clinically appropriate. We explain our findings, options and estimated fees before planned care.

Do you accept my dental insurance?

DentalCare Queens accepts many PPO plans and can check benefits before planned care when the carrier responds in time. Participation and coverage vary by plan, so the office will verify your benefits and your insurer makes the final coverage decision.

How much does a dental visit or treatment cost?

The fee depends on the exam, imaging and treatment needed. You can review planning ranges on our Fees & Insurance page, and we provide a written estimate before planned treatment. The dentist confirms the exact fee after evaluation.

Can you help if I am nervous about dental treatment?

Yes. Tell us when you book so we can allow extra time, explain each step and build in pauses. We can discuss appropriate comfort options after the dentist reviews your health and treatment needs.
